What is a Call Committee:

A "call committee" is a group of individuals within a religious congregation, usually elected or appointed, responsible for the process of selecting a new pastor by interviewing potential candidates, evaluating their suitability, and recommending a chosen candidate to the congregation council for approval; essentially, they lead the process of "calling" a new pastor to serve the church community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a "ministry site profile" outlining the needs and priorities of the congregation.
